American Legion Post 99

Hello OVMA Members and friends,
I have compiled this list of people who are members and some not members of OVMA (Oregon Veterans Motorcycle Association) You are on this list because I believe you have shown interest or helped us with last years run. It was a great success with 83 riders and many others who helped with this great event. The result of this runs fund raising last year paid for the balance of the signage for this highway, as well as funded several Veterans events and helped numerous Veterans in need. We even funded the construction of a small home for the Central Oregon Veterans Village, this will be a continuing help for countless Veterans in need for the future. Thank you all so much for this help.
This coming Saturday February 20th at 11:00 am we will have a Zoom committee meeting. I will attach a link for that as well as a link for the eventbrite ticket sales and the facebook event page. This run is open to the public and we encourage all with interest to take part in this fabulous event. As of this email we have sold 63 tickets for this years event. It is only February 15th. We had 83 sold last year. We are on track for a huge increase. We are so excited about this. Ticket sales are in the early bird discount price. March 1st the price goes up by $10 and again May 1st will go up another $10. This year we have so many great event happenings. Please join us and help us however you can?
Our pre-run will leave Wildhorse Harley Davidson in Bend Oregon for Seaside Oregon on June 25th, we will meet up with other riders from other areas for lunch in Salem Oregon that day. We will then ride to Seaside with a stop on the way for fuel and break at Spirit Mountain Casino Grand Ronde, Oregon. Saturday June 26th we will leave Seaside for the official start of the run and ride to Paradise Harley-Davidson in Tigard where they will provide us Lunch, we will then ride highway 26 through the Portland Metro area and on to Sandy Oregon Fred Meyer for our first fuel stop, We will then proceed to Plateau Truck stop in Madras Oregon for fuel and then to the Air Museum in Madras for a banquet that is being catered. We will overnight in Madras and then leave Sunday Morning from the Cross Key Hotel in Madras. We will stop at the rest stop in the Ochocos and then on to John Day for a lunch there with a small ceremony as well. After lunch we will continue to ride Ontario for the ceremony we have been promised to make up for last year. We will then leave Ontario for the return back to our homes on Monday morning.
We are seeking donations for this event and for our fund raising efforts to be able to continue our help to our fellow veterans. OVMA funds are donated 100% and often if there is not enough we the membership adds to those needs out of our own pockets. We have no paid members or administration.
Some of the things we need donations for:  T-shirt sponsors, fuel stop sponsors, chase vehicle fuel costs, donations for our purposes in general, dinners, lunches, breakfasts, items to raffle, items to give away, if you can help or know of someone who can please do so? Thanks
